Love the illustrations/drawings . ( )

This book caught me by surprise. I did not think I was going to like the book, however, once I began reading it I started to really like it! Lucy and Ezra are two very close siblings who get along very well and help each other with their unique crafts they like to make with recycled material. Once the Robot King comes alive, it is adventurous. This book is easy to read and not very long. I also like how they had pictures in it to help me stay on track with what was happening. ( )

The Robot King for my thoughts ( )

Layout and Ezra visit their dead mother's grave as often as they can. Ezra is always collecting little trinkets and has not spoken since his mother's death. Lucy is some what of a scientist. She gets together a bunch of her mother's old things from the attic and makes a robot. The children call him the "Robot King." The Robot King comes to life and he is able to take pieces of himself and make other things fly.
This book deals heavily with the coping of two siblings after their mother's death. The robot is their way of escaping the bad that has infiltrated their everyday life. ( )
