It was about a young boy drawing his surroundings and the book took a turn when his drawings came to life! I would definitely read this to my future students. ( ) Delightful book with a great message. Imaginative play at its best. Andrew draws typical things like animals at the zoo and fish at the aquarium, but he also draws a picture of some trucks filled with food for hungry people. He draws pictures of schools and hospitals and sends them where they are needed. Andrew also draws a little something for himself at the end of the book. Andrew isn't very good at drawing when he starts out, but he gets better and better until his art is so realistic that whatever he draws jumps off the page or comes to life. With shades of Harold's purple crayon and Anthony Browne's Big Bear book, the book addresses the power of art but it goes beyond the messages of the other books in that Andrew imagines doing good works -- drawing food for the hungry and sending it to them. Self-centered at the end though, as is true of childhood, Andrew draws himself the dog he always wanted. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Andrew's scribbles with a crayon he found become better and better until he is making drawings so realistic that they come right off the page. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
