This is a really fun book. Our story follows Carol Danvers who has come to a crossroads with a new life and new romance. She takes a drastic change in direction and alters her life as she takes on a mission to return to an alien girl to her homeworld. She lands herself in the middle of an uprising, and she must help a civilization as well as find the people behind this planets issues. It's a fun, sci-fi romp full of Carol Danvers lovable humor.

I for one have a new favorite female superhero. Forget Wonder Woman. ( )

Wow - great fun. New connections to Guardians of the Galaxy and good adventure. I continue to be impressed by the new Marvel characters (I'm a fan of Ms. Marvel) - and look forward to more. Thanks to Amazon Prime for including this in the books available. ( )

This series is fantastic. As was the last Captain Marvel series written by DeConnick. The issue I have with this story arc in particular is that it relies HEAVILY (and I mean, HEAVILY) on the [b:Infinity|18513586|Infinity|Jonathan Hickman|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1409502548s/18513586.jpg|26644776] crossover event that happened just before this series began. Had I not happened to read a Marvel Wikia article about Infinity before picking this up, I would've been completely lost.

If you can get past not knowing why anyone is doing anything they're doing, it's a great story and super fun read with fantastic art. But reading up on Infinity first is your best bet. ( )
