While I believe the old cliche that "all good things must come to an edit" is true, I must admit I am sad to have reached the end of this series. Cole is such an interesting character, and these stories have held my attention since the first book. That said, this is a fitting end to the arc that really brings everything full circle. I enjoy when characters get resolution, especially when there are still some rough edges for them to carry on into the sunset... I can't believe: 5 stars for the Audio book and the whole series What an enjoyable Mystery-Romance Series. Greg Tremblay *Le SIGH* - I enjoyed this series so much. -Cole and Jae are permanently added to my favorite couple list. -The writing was good as always and when the mystery about Ben's motive was revealed, i was like: I had it all wrong! and that made me giddy. It added to my enjoyment since my prediction was off. Finally we got that out of the way. -Good to see Ichi and Bobby still going strong. - The secondary characters are the best, especially Claudia. I love that woman. - There is a character Named Greg Tremblay 😍😍, what a nice way to give the narrator a shout out. And Detective Dante Mantoya 💖made a cameo. Oh I love you Rhys. -We have a Cat named cat and a Dog named Honey 😘😘. This made me a very happy reader/listener. Still I had the time of my reading life with this series. I don't know what to say about the end of this series, Rhys Ford and Cole McGinnis were one of my first forays into MM and one of my favorites. I will miss these characters very much. We finally find out why Ben did what he did, and just like in real life there is no real answer, no neat conclusion. Just the sadness and pain of loss and regret. I had a few theories as to why he did what he did and I was right about one of them, but sad that Ben felt that was his only option. That he had no one who could have helped him. In the end though what matters is what you have now, who you love, who your family is and how you hold on to each other. Jae and Cole, Nuna, Claudia, Bobby, Ichi, Mike and Maddy, they are what each of them needs. Goodbye Cole, it's been a pleasure aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Regardless, Cole has gone full circle. He's been through personal hell on more fingers than he can count, and has slowly returned to living his life fully. And it shows. It's seen through every relationship he has, and of course most importantly, with Jae. Both of them have endured so much, and truly, the greatest gift is each other and finally, them wholeheartedly embracing that.
Like many other reviewers have said, that though bittersweet, this was a great conclusion to the series. One can be reassured that Cole will continue to survive and thrive. He's going to be all right. More than all right. ( )
