Yeah, okay. Ridiculous, right? To think that part 2 would directly follow part 1? Apparently. Survivors of Evil opens with Martian Manhunter and Stargirl - two heroes that were *not* in the first. It was at this point that I realized that I forgot a lesson from my childhood - a lesson my father, an avid comics collector, taught me - that just because a comic has a similar title, and the same heroes, doesn't mean that it's on the same timeline, or even storyline. Read the full review here: https://ermareads.wordpress.com/graphically-graphic/justice-league-of-america-vo... This TPB mostly takes place during the Forever Evil story line. I’ve never read a ton of JSA titles, and so I hadn’t seen too much of Stargirl, but this story sorta made me want to read more about her. She and J’onn, the Martian Manhunter, are stuck in a prison that is also holding all the members of the Justice League and mentally screwing with them. And it’s up to J’onn and Stargirl to break everyone out. I liked the stories, the ‘where is the prison’ twist (which I don’t remember reading about before, but perhaps I just missed it in another TPB) was cool. I also liked how they explained why Stargirl wasn’t as hurt by the prison. And then there were the flashbacks. J’onn may not have loved Stargirl getting lost in her past memories, but I loved it. And wow, that buried memory of Stargirl’s, Wow. I got this advanced galley through Netgalley on behalf of DC Entertainment. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
"As the smoke clears from the Trinity War, one thing looks disturbingly clear, the members of the Justice League of America are dead, betrayed by one of their own. But as with the Trinity War, all is not what it seems. Martian Manhunter and Star Girl have lived to fight another day and find themselves trapped on an alien world that is under the control of a group of super-villains. The key to their survival may lie in the hands of the super-villain Despero, but will these heros be able to find it within themselves to trust soemone who is supposed to be their mortal enemy? This volume collects issues #8-14"-- Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Martian Manhunter is a total badass in this and I was pretty impressed with Stargirl, who I assumed I would hate. ( )
