Both of my sons have LOVED this book around age two. The somewhat repetitive text, the rhyming cadence and the cute clay illustrations all make it a winner. Both would walk around, repeating certain lines - the words are catchy like a song! Really cute. ( )

38 months - Sometimes simple is just right for O. The text is simple yet rhyming to describe the process of paving a new street. Something we are very familiar with after having both of our streets replaced this spring (Ack the noise!!! Not good for a kid who is sound sensitive). Great clay figures and vehicles. This would be a fabulous book for a boy obsessed with vehicles. ( )
