Big trucks like dads, help little trucks, like children, learn how to do construction and other things. Great book to read at Father's Day. With rhyming text and colorful artwork, author Joan Holub and illustrator James Dean - creator of the popular Pete the Cat books - create a picture-book tribute to fathers and the love and guidance they offer their children. The Dads here are construction vehicles, and each one shows his offspring the task they perform, giving support and praise in the process... For young children who have enjoyed such bedtime books as Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site or Steam Train, Dream Train, Mighty Dads will be a welcome addition to the picture-book library. There's rhymes a-plenty to listen to, and lots of brightly colored construction vehicles at which to look, making this both a visual and auditory pleasure. I don't know that I found it all that appealing - I'm not really a construction-site enthusiast myself - but for the target audience it is sure to be a hit. This books shows all kinds of different working dads. Dump truck Dads, Cement mixer Dads, Excavator Dads, and much more! Each dad takes care of his son in different ways. The dad teaches the son how to be just like him. They are mini versions of them. This is a cute book to read to preschoolers around fathers day. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
