The first book began his life as a marine carrying out special forces operations in Iraqi. Predictably he falls out of favour and gets into trouble with a number of his superiors resulting in him uncovering an illegal operation which involved people at the top of the US government. He leaves the Marines and moves on with his life outside the forces which is taken up in the second book where he is employed by a secret US unit known as SIS. Here he gets involved in a Child smuggling operation which again involves a senator in the US government. Both books are action packed with lots of excitement. A great story, well-written and it certainly made me want to continue reading the Jack Noble series. ( ) I received this ebook as a member of librarything.com's early reviewers group. I enjoyed the book. It was interesting and action packed. Poor Jack is not so lucky with the ladies. I tend to read nonfiction military books or fiction books primarily written by females. This book contained enough continuously fast paced action sequences that I stayed interested and completed it in a day. I have subscribed to be notified of new releases this series and will enjoy keeping up with the Jack's personal and professional life. Maybe one day Jack will get lucky and meet a woman he actually gets to have sex with, meaningful or not, before he gets injured too badly. His line of work is dangerous. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Jack and his partner Bear have a run-in with four CIA special agents over the treatment of an Iraqi family. Within hours Jack and Bear are detained. All Jack wanted was to finish his enlistment and move on with his life. All he did was intervene and save a family from unwarranted violence at the hands of four CIA agents.
