Unfortunately I read Cupcakes and Ink (Clipped Wings 0.5) by Helena Hunting, a short 60 page intro to the series after I had read Clipped Wings (Clipped Wings #1) by Helena Hunting, and found it to be a repeat of the first few chapters in that book. If this had not been the case it would have achieved its purpose of creating an interest in reading the first book in the series. As mentioned in my review of Clipped Wings, I will continue with book two in the series, as I have enjoyed the series so far. A two star read for me due to less then Novella length and repeat of book one I received an ARC edition from NetGalley, on behalf of Gallery, Threshold, Pocket Books in exchange for my honest review. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML:The prequel to Clipped Wingsâ??"twisted, dark, incredibly erotic...a love story like no other" (USA TODAY bestselling author Alice Clayton)â??this emotional tale follows Hayden and Tenley as they struggle to let go of their pasts and maintain an emotionally safe distance from each other. Covered in the ink he inscribes on other people's skin, Hayden Stryker has made a career out of being a tattooist. He's got his own business and a tight circle of friends. As far as he's concerned, that's all he needs. At least until his aunt, who owns the antiques and used book store across from his tattoo studio, hires a new employee. You aren't missing anything by skipping it. Tenley gets a new fan. Hayden goes creepy. Yep, that's about it. It does show their first few meetings, but considering that those were summed up in Clipped Wings, this doesn't add really anything to the story line. ( )
