It starts with his father getting a video camera. Steven borrowed the camera so much his father gave it to him. He used it for every thing and even did some plays with the people he could gather. His parents later divorced and he moved to California with his dad, he was only accepted into one college because of his poor grades. One him and his father went to the famous Californian movie production place on a tour, Steven ran off the tour to see what happened behind the scenes. He met a director that granted him a three day pass on the set, but he went a lot more than three days. He began making movies and dropped out of college. He is responsible for Indiana Jones, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan and many others. The reason I gave this book a four star rating is. I loved how much detail was put in to the book. This book explained how Steven grew up and came to be the great director he is today. In this book you take a journey trough the life of a director. Its shows how much he loved to make videos and movies. If your looking for a director think about him. Steven Spielberg is an extremely famous director who has directed some of the most earning movies of all time. Steven Spielberg is one of the three founders of DreamWork Studios. As a young boy he would never do his homework and only make short films. He would record them on a camera that his parents had. He would record until he had either no day light or until he had to eat. He was very bad about doing school work when he was younger. One of his very first hits was in fact Jaws. He had spend lots of time on it and it put a kick start to his career. I think that this book was just absolutely packed with information. It was very well sequenced, but I think that the information could have been a little spread out more. Yes I do think it was a very good book. I really liked how much he did and what he'd accomplished. The author must have researched for a very long time and then write a very good book on such a successful person. That's why I would reccomend this book to people that are interested in movies. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"While other kids played sports, Steven Spielberg was writing scripts and figuring out camera angles. He went from entertaining his Boy Scout troop with home movies to amazing audiences around the world with epic blockbusters. He has directed four of the most successful films of all time and has won two Academy Awards for Best Director. From Jaws to Lincoln, young readers and aspiring filmmakers will be fascinated by the life of this famous director"-- Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
