Kind of like a miniature X-Files episode in book form. =P ( )

An engaging continuation of the evolving relationship between Gideon and Lee, this time in the town Lee lives in. I found the plot less interesting than the first one, except for the very end, but that won't stop me reading on. Some great scenes in this one! ( )

Christmas is coming, and Gideon take some work's leave to spend time with the co-owner of his dog :P

I really like the recognition that, no matter how good the sex, they still are a little awkward around each other, how the phone calls to Lee while he was in London didn't went that well. Gideon knows they need to get to know each other better, and so here he ism ready to accompany Lee to a presentation that ends a bit dramatically.

Homeless are dissapearing.

There is a woman with a haunted house, and something dark in it seems to have get hold of Lee when he tried to help her.

And there is Gideon's brother, a Methodist pastor who is following their father's steps and not very happy about Gideon's reconnection with his mother.

Again, this has a sinister feel and is a truly interesting mystery, but what I liked the most is watch the character growing and getting a deeper knowledge about them. And I love the new characters, getting to know Gideon's family helps us to get a better understanding of his character.

So, yes, another fantastic story, and another superb narration by Tim Gilbert.
