The Hemingway section consists of newspaper articles that he wrote in his early cub reporter days for the Kansas City Star or post-WW1 early years with the Toronto Star. These are available either in print as Ernest Hemingway Cub Reporter: The Kansas City Star Articles and Dateline Toronto: The Complete Toronto Star Dispatches 1920-24 or online at http://www.kansascity.com/2007/07/28/209801/ernest-hemingways-kansas-city.html and http://ehto.thestar.com/colum/hemin
Despite these easily accessible online resources and others, many typos are added to the articles. Some of these even give the wrong impression of the story e.g. the Toronto Star's "Prizefight Women" about women attending boxing matches is mis-titled as "Prizefighting Women" as if it were the women themselves doing the boxing. Also 2 Kansas City Star articles are mis-identified as Toronto Star articles. One article is cut off simply half-way through without explanation.
The Fitzgerald section has similar problems with the addition of typos but the 5 short stories are otherwise intact. As it happens, the stories chosen are among my favourites of Fitzgerald's esp. the party antics of "The Camel's Back" and "The Jelly-Bean", so at least this selection somewhat redeemed this collection for me.
This is not a great promo for the quality control of Seedbox Press LLC, a public domain eBook publisher, but at least it is free or at only a minimal cost. Be warned that you get what you pay for though. ( )
