Rock Your Soul is the second book in the Geek Kink series by Sara Brookes. After reading the first book in the series, I could not wait for this book to come out. I really liked the first book and had high hopes for this book. This book absolutely lived up to them. Even though this book is part of a series it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel.
Beth is a strong character that pulled herself out of a tough and sadistic Dom. She was strong enough to realize that while she still enjoyed the lifestyle she needed to know more. I loved that while she was a disk jockey from Nashville she worked not for county music stations but Alternative Rock stations. She broke a lot of traditional submissive molds.
Ryan is a mysterious and intriguing character. He surprised me every time I thought I had him figured out. I liked that that he helped Beth embrace her submissive side as well. I really enjoyed that Beth helped Ryan deal with his past.
The chemistry between Ryan and Beth is explosive. They are a good match in and out of the bedroom. I loved how Ryan showed Beth that she could trust him not just in the bedroom but out of it as well. The sex scenes were very hot.
The only thing that would have made this story better was if it was if the author connected this book to the prior one in a better way. Overall, this was an enjoyable addition to the series. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out. There are so many fascinating characters in this series there are so many characters to choose from. ( )
