This novel tells an interesting story about an eleven year old lad & his experiences with a Loup-Garou. (Loup-Garou is French for werewolf.) The plot, which is set in 1859, also reveals the lifestyle of a struggling Louisiana Cajun family. This is an exciting & enjoyable book. It was printed by Harlo Press of Detroit, Michigan in 1990. It is hardbound, 8' x 10", 48 pages, with all 9 chapters & jacket illustrated by internationally prominent artist George Rodrigue. REVIEW EXCERPTS: "This is Raphael's 8th book & it places him among major Louisiana chroniclers. It is a charming children's story which should delight readers who are looking for old-fashioned goodness to prevail." (Diane Moore, Acadiana Life Magazine, December 1990.) "Veteran storyteller Morris Raphael has created a great curiosity & conversation piece--the story's catchy, the concept was inspired, the book's a must."
