An Ant's Day Off is a modern fantasy book about a day who decides he does't want to work and needs a day off. The ant, despite his friend's protests, leaves the nest and wanders through the world looking at all there is to do. The ant adventures through frogs, streams, and bees exploring the world outside. When the ant returns he is scared he won't be let back into the nest. However, the guard tells him a secret. Every once in a while other ants take a day off as well. This book teaches how to work hard, but also the importance of rest.

The illustration for this book is very vivid and tells a story also. the messge of the book is good that hard work deserves a day off or some type of relaxation. You could red this book at the end of the day as some relaxation. ( )
