Richard M. Stower served the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Scituate, Massachusetts from 1992 until 2011. He is a graduate of The George Washington University where he received a B.A. and M.A. in History. He received his Master of Divinity degree from the Harvard Divinity School in 1990. He was ordained by the congregation of the First Parish in Concord, Massachusetts. Prior to entering the ministry he was an elementary school teacher in New York City. He also worked at an advertising agency in Manhattan; at a television station in Manchester, New Hampshire; in the New Hampshire Division of Welfare; and for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. and Boston, Massachusetts. He is married to Attorney Nancy Richards-Stower and resides in Scituate.
