I only read Lori Foster story about SWAT Sergeant Osbourne asked to watch over pet psychic Marci who he suspects stole a nativity scene donkey. I enjoyed the humor, the steamy scenes and the plot of dealing with her special gift with animals.

Do You Hear What I Hear by Lori Foster: SWAT team member, Osbourne "Ozzie" Decker, is asked by his boss to keep an eye on his wife's identical sister while they are away on their honeymoon. The problem is that Ozzie and Marci have a history. Ozzie thinks Marci is flakey (she's actually a pet psychic) but they've never been able to keep their hands off each other, so he's chosen to avoid her. Then she's suspected of stealing a donkey from a local church's nativity scene and they are thrown together again. Cute couple/short story.

Bah Humbug, Baby by Gemma Bruce: Allison Newberry and Lee Simonson are asked by family members to spend a few days at a cozy cabin near a ski resort. They just aren't told that the other--former fiance--will also be there. After being snowed in by a blizzard and facing the fact that they are stuck together for the duration, they get caught up in the (literal) magic of the little Christmas town (called "Good Cheer") and after facing a possibly deadly avalanche, they both come to terms with what is most important in their lives.

By Firelight by Janice Maynard: Madison Tierney (author of suspense novels) is caught by a surprise snowstorm while hiking the Appalachian Trail. She struggles through the blizzard until she happens upon Grant Monroe's (painter/artist) cabin. As they wait for the snow to melt so they can make it down the mountain and into town, they spend Christmas together. Includes a Titanic-like "I want to paint you in the nude" scene. Good story, but the HEA is very rushed in this one. ( )

Read for Lori Foster's short story. Totally cracked up through the entire thing. Typical Lori Foster. ( )
