I liked the quicker pace of this shorter odd book ( ) Another part of Odd Thomas' journey... each tale is a bit darker than the previous one. In this installment of Odd Thomas' life, he stops over in Harmony Corner, which is just down the road from Christopher Snow and Moonlight Bay. You can read this story without the Moonlight Bay trilogy (which is just two books at the time of this review). I'm a bit conflicted with this book, actually. I love it, the plot and comedy are wonderful. One of my problems is that Jolie, when the book is from her point of view, is a little weaker substantially than I would believe someone in her situation to be. She seems too, pre-teeny, if I can use that word. Not that I've ever met someone who was in her position, but... I don't know, she's too little and too much at the same time. Also, for a book about a guy who can communicate with the dead, there was a serious lack of ghosts. Odd is always saying that he's not special, and all, but no ghosts in a book about a guy who can see ghosts? It's just a little... odd. (I do not apologize for that pun). aucune critique | ajouter une critique
