I’m generally a huge fan of Sylvia Day, but this couple left me scratching my head. I’ll reserve full judgement after reading the second part to their story. (

Darme cuenta de que seguía colada por Jax fue un mal trago. Solo había formado parte de mi vida cinco semanas, hacía dos años. Pero ahora había vuelto. Se había entrometido en un acuerdo de negocios que me había costado mucho conseguir. Y, Dios mío, estaba guapísimo. Sus ojos eran de un marrón tan oscuro que parecían casi negros. Rodeados por densas pestañas, eran de una intensidad implacable. ¿De veras me habían parecido alguna vez dulces y tiernos? Jackson Rutledge no tenía nada de tierno. Era un hombre experimentado y cruel, hecho de una pasta muy dura. En ese momento comprendí cuánto deseaba desvelar el misterio de Jax. Tanto que no me importaba lo que fuera a costarme.

I've already read and loved Sylvia's Crossfire Series, and if I like an author, I try to read all of their books. So I had to read this one, of course.

My first and probably only complain about Afterburn is that it was too short. And it ended with a cliffhanger. Thank goodness I had already borrowed the book two, or I'd have been cursing the author right about now.

Afterburn was steamy, heartbreaking and hooking. I did not want to stop reading once I started.

I loved the characters, I loved the setting, and I'm glad I decided to read it.

On to the next book now! Aftershock, here I come! (
