Not amazing but I'm really interested in this new world without the big 3 in it. I remember seeing Dr. Fate on comic covers as a kid and always thinking he looked so cool, but I never really read anything with him in it until recently. I kind of have a thing for magical heroes, so looking forward to more Dr. Fate, now that he has accepted his destiny. A direct continuation of [b:Earth 2, Vol. 1: The Gathering|15797953|Earth 2, Vol. 1 The Gathering|James Robinson|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1356417993s/15797953.jpg|21428261], this one picks up where the first left off. It also introduces Doctor Fate and Wotan, the next villain to show up on the scene. There's also a cameo of Mister Fantastic, which is likely setting up the next story arc. I like a lot of the changes, but Terry Sloan as a villain just grates for me. Only bad note in the music here. ( )
