A bit "ammo sexual" at times, but altogether a goid read. ( ) A familiar theme: family fighting zombies and a world gone bad. First book drags on a bit. Reads like a first book in a series. Family had connections so were prepared for the day they got the call: run and hide. Their plan involved a sailboat on the ocean to avoid the dangers. It grows into a small fleet as they begin the process of rescuing who they can from other vessels and clearing out the zombies. Lot of clearing in book 1. Book kept my interest though and I like the characters. I will give book 2 a try. John Ringo tackles the Zombie Apocalypse! That means lots of guns, lots of combat, lots of action with smart, clear-thinking protagonists. With a slight edge in knowledge, Ramboesque ex-soldier Steve Smith gets his wife and Valkyrian daughters out to sea in a boat. Smith starts to link up with other boats and becomes leader of an effort to build his fleet and eventually reclaim the land for the few survivors of the zombie plague. It has scope, is well-written, exciting, and just a great, fun read. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Appartient à la série
When an airborne zombie plague is released, bringing civilization to a grinding halt, the Smith family takes to the Atlantic to avoid the chaos. The plan is to find a safe haven from the anarchy of infected humanity. What they discover, instead, is a sea composed of the tears of survivors and a passion for bringing hope. For it is up to the Smiths and a small band of Marines to somehow create the refuge that survivors seek in a world of darkness and terror. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
