Well, what can I say about this book? It was okay to listen to, but I certainly did not find a new favorite author. I'm really not against sex in a book, but it's been a bit too explicit.

The story: The book begins with four people being killed in a cottage and a baby still crawling around. How did this happen? That is what the rest of the book is about.

It is the story of Eva and Peter. Just moved to a new house in the period when Eve has a miscarriage. And Peter has lazy sperm. But Eva wants nothing more than a child and has difficulties getting over the loss. Then they meet the new neighbors, Steef and Rebecca. They have quite loose standards on sexuality. Plus Steef has a post-traumatic stress disorder. You guessed it, this should go wrong... You see it coming for miles, the only question is who will be the culprit. For me that was the only reason the finish this book.

About the audiobook: This story is told from the perspective of both Eva and Peter, in alternating chapters. Because the whole book was read by a woman, I sometimes forgot that that Peter was speaking. In these kind of books it would be useful to have two narrators.

Beide echtparen zijn op hun eigen manier op zoek naar geluk, dat in de maakbare samenleving om de hoek lijkt te liggen. Gezamenlijk verleggen ze hun grenzen, totdat ze erachter komen dat ze niet meer terug kunnen ......

Leest makkelijk weg. Niet spectaculair. ( )

Aardig boek, maar zeker niet de beste van Saskia Noort. ( )
