Storm Front is a good Virgil Flowers book regarding a stolen artifact from Israel. The craziness that went into this tale starts at the very beginning and goes throughout the book. It is a good biblical story that involves the Israeli Mossad, killer Arabs, Lebanese, and a good plotter. Four stars were given to this creative novel with a great ending. ( ) A fun romp through SE Minnesota chasing a Middle Eastern artifact that is of interest to numerous parties. JS brings in the Mossad, Hezbollah, PBS and introduces Ma Nobles, a new VF love interest. Not a lot of depth to this one until the ending which pushed it to 4 stars. A good read with enough JS wise ass remarks to bring out the laughs. I liked this one for the same reason at least one reviewer didn't like it - it wasn't very serious. I thought the story was interesting enough to carry the humor and there were lots of surprises; the biggest was the plot of the story. This wasn't a typical Virgil Flowers case. All in all, I enjoyed it as much as any of the series, which is a lot. I'm not sure if the ending really made sense or whether I missed something, but it didn't really matter that much. It's easy to miss something in this story because there are a lot of characters, so pay attention. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: In Israel, a man clutching a backpack searches desperately for a boat. In Minnesota, Virgil Flowers gets a message from Lucas Davenport: You're about to get a visitor. It's an Israeli cop, and she's tailing a man who's smuggled out an extraordinary relicâ??a copper scroll revealing startling details about the man known as King Solomon. Wait a minute, laughs Virgil. Is this one of those Da Vinci Code deals? The secret scroll, the blockbuster revelation, the teams of murderous bad guys? Should I be boning up on my Bible verses? He looks at the cop. She's not laughing. As it turns out, there are very bad men chasing the relic, and they don't care who's in the way or what they have to do to get it. Maybe Virgil should start praying.
