I am a new Flash fan and have been happy with what I have read so far.

I enjoyed the main story in this book, which is about King Grodd and his minions. Interesting interaction of Flash's powers and abilities and seeing how he interacts with his enemies. The other story in the book is also interesting, with some back story about the Trickster, and the aftermath of the conflict with the apes. ( )

Three collections in, I still have mixed feelings about this. The gorilla attack on Central City is wonderfully bizarre, and the Flash teaming up with the rogues is a nice, natural story beat, but it just seems like there's a lot of other stuff that's not so great. (Elias's feud with the Flash still seems really forced, for one, and the Trickster getting his arm yanked off by Grodd is exactly the kind of pointless gore I've gotten tired of.) Francis Manapul is still really talented though, so I'm willing to continue giving him a chance. ( )

The first two volumes were only so-so, but I felt that the 3rd volume was a vast improvement. The story is finally taking off and I am a lot more hopeful of where the comic will go from here. ( )
