This was a sweet Christmas story. I loved the setting- we were in the land of elves and Santa, but with a bunch of changes to make it unique and interesting. I thought Noel was a complete jerk for a while and definitely thought he should’ve done a heck of a lot more groveling, but when Noel and Tim got together it was cute. I’m looking forward to Jack and Rudy’s story.

Ehh. I have no problem with stories where the love interest is grumpy/distant because he's closeted and/or doesn't know how to deal with his feelings, but I DO have a problem when this turns into deliberately making the crush's life miserable. Even after Noel realised he was being an ass, I still felt no chemistry between them. Overall, I just didn't enjoy this at all. ( )

it was Bad but also ridiculous so if you want to have a good laugh and feel the holiday spirit - give it a try ( )

This is a cute Christmas story, with the North Pole run like a modern company, including departments and interdepartmental politics. And even the relationships between the elves reminded me of those often seen between office workers in large corporations. Tim is being bullied by his supervisor, Noel, who in turn has become extremely grumpy since he started working with Tim. Some elves are better than others (or think they are), top positions are jostled for like in any human office, and there are toy soldiers who conspire against the powers that be. All of this serves to set the scene for a very touching story about one very stubborn elf.

Noel is cruel to Tim. He gives Tim the hardest jobs, laughs about his clumsiness, and sets him up to fail on a daily basis. There is an explanation, but Noel doesn’t have an easy time letting go of old hurts, imagined hurts, and fear of people finding out his secret.

Tim has a lot of optimism inside him, wants to be loved, and cannot understand why Noel hates him so much. He'd love to leave and do a different job, but he knows he isn't very talented. When push comes to shove, and he has to work with Noel and prove how courageous he really is, Tim is scared to death but refuses to give in.

If you like Christmas stories set at the North Pole and including all the fantasy creatures you'd expect there, if you enjoy reading old legends with a modern slant, and if you're looking for a heartwarming story about men seemingly not destined for love finding their happy end, you will probably like this one.

Sparkly Sweet Sexiness!
Dripping Droplets of Delightful Dudes!
Crackling Cinnamon Kisses, Kris Kringle!!!!!!

Holy Holly, I had to take a BIG Jumpin' Jack Frost Leap of Faith on this one. Within two pages I was thinking, "What have I gotten myself into?" Thank Tinsel I read on; what a Pretty Present this turned out to be. So, Heighten your Holiday and don't be afraid to climb up on Santa's lap to read this Twink'ling Tale of Christmas Cheer.

Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!!
