In 1848, gold was discovered in California, attracting over 300,000 people from all over the world, some who struck it rich and many more who didn't. That was the basic gist of it. I only rated this 1 star because i already knew what the gold rush was and the information in the book was nothing new. I would not recommend anything in the book. I can only i give one paragraph of the book. Bad book ( )

What Was the Gold Rush? Is all about the gold rush. This book tells you about who found the gold rush and much more. This book also says that from people all over traveled to the west in search of gold.
I didn't like this book because it had to many facts. I like when there's more of a story. I do not recommend this book. ( )
