I'm one of those people who thinks you may as well laugh at what life hands you, and this book helped me laugh at my MS and at all the sometimes very silly things I go through. But don't think it's a light read that avoids the realities of MS because it is absolutely not. It's hilarious and heartbreaking and I'm looking forward to the author's next book. This fast paced book tells the comically raw and honest story of Marlo, a vivacious fashionista, who transforms into the fabulous 'awkward bitch' right before the eyes of everyone she knows. Marlo moves from New York to London to make it in the music business, aided by the money made at her day job as a luxury retail manager. Her plans are bamboozled when she starts to lose her eyesight after only a month of living in her dream city! Through a series of roller coaster events taking her to Paris, Miami, London, and New York, she is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, the most common disabling neurological disease affecting young adults today.
