The book is realistic fiction because what the boy and the dad did at the baseball game that a person could. The only part that is fiction is that not everyone that goes to a baseball game can walk on the field.

This book was a spin-off of "Goodnight Moon" and instead, was a story of a young boy who went to the baseball game with his father. Once the game was over, the speaker started to say goodbye to everything at the ball park. It was a wonderful story that rhymed and the young boy described different things he saw at the baseball game. This story could help educate students who have never been to a baseball game before! The illustrations were beautifully done and the words rhymed in all of the sections. For example, "We eat popcorn and hot dogs and hold drinks in our laps...with the names of our favorite teams bright on our caps." This was a wonderful story that many students would enjoy reading!
