The story follows her as she finds things on the playground one day. She turns everything in to the lost and found except for a stuffed dog. The reader follows along as she learns that just because she wants something that she cannot just take it and have it. Jamaica takes the toy back the next day, and makes a new friend who is looking for a toy she lost at the playground the day before. Jamaica takes the girl to the lost and found and gets her the dog back. This could be useful in the classroom to help remind the students that it is important to always be kind and courteous to others. ( ) "Jamaica's Find" is a cute story about Jamaica, who finds a stuffed dog and hat at a park, she returns the hat into the lost and found but not the dog. When she gets home her mother tells her that she should have returned the dog too. She decides to return the dog and then finds the owner of the stuffed animal. This book was a lot of fun to read. This book tells the story off Jamaica, a young girl who finds a red, sock hat and a stuffed dog in the park. She brings the hat to the lost and found, but keeps the dog, in hopes of it remaining hers. When she is told to return it by her mother, as the child who lost it, may be looking for it. When she was playing at the park the next day, she found the owner of the stuffed dog. In my opinion, the text is what made this book so great, thought the illustrations are beautiful as well. This book teaches readers about ownership, friendship, and responsibility, things that are essential in life. If children are able to see that Jamaica gave the stuffed dog back, as it did not belong to her, they will be able to imagine themselves in similar situations and how they should handle them. Whenever something is found and you are not sure who it belongs to, bring it to the lost and found. Great read! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
