Cute story to show to be who you are and to not be fake.

Theodore is a mouse that is always being picked on because he is not special like the lizard, the frog, or the turtle. he feels lonely because of this. One day, the mouse comes upon a mushroom that makes sounds. Theodore decides to tell all the animals that it is a mushroom of truth that talks. He deceives everyone and they all worship him. WhenTheodore is found out and caught in his lie, he decides to flee from everyone and run away.
The illustration in this story is unique and it like different pieces of paper put together rather than drawn. ( )

This is a child's story about friends. All goes well until one chooses to be dishonest, then things eventually change. This book could serve as a mentor text of using synonyms to powerfully present the moral lesson of the storyline. This children's book poignantly teaches the value of being trustworthy. ( )

This book is about a mouse who has no interesting talent like his friends. The only thing Theodore, the mouse can do is run. One day he decided that he will tell his friends that he has found a talking mushroom. He goes on and on about this mushroom and the animals from all over start to prasie him. Until they find a whole field of mushrooms and realize that he is lying. He has to run to escape all of his angry friends and is never seen again. This is a good book to show how important honesty is. ( )

In this book Theodore mouse thinks he has no special talents, the only thing he can do is run. So one day he decides that he has found a talking mushroom. Everyone think this is amazing until they find a whole field of "talking mushrooms". Everyone figures out that the mouse was lying and he reverts back to his original talent of running. This is a great fable about lying and what the consequences might be. This would be a fun book for younger children and a great book to teach about lying to for older children up through grade 3.
