The writing was stilted ,the characters were completely undeveloped, and the action was brief and not super exciting. By the end of the book I was actually getting interested in the alien culture but the first 200 or so pages were pretty boring. ( ) At first, it looks like a typical ‘us-against-them’ war between humans and aliens. It is, however, a bit more. This book only started to work for me after the first 200 pages or so; even with that, my interests were all plot-driven. There’s very little character development here, even in the captain who is ostensibly the protagonist. (Admiral Marais was the most developed character, and that was mostly done through the viewpoint of others.) The alien cultures were interesting. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
