The Chosen One has a new lease on life, courtesy of... Kennedy?! In a bold move to give disenfranchised Slayers a meaningful societal role (with pay), Kennedy recruits Buffy to act as bodyguard for high-profile clientele. But unlike the other recruits, Buffy struggles to abandon her Slaying instincts and looks for demony threats where none lie (much to Kennedy's dismay). So it's only natural that her first job is to protect a tech mogul who just so happens to be running from demon assassins!… (plus d'informations)

Still fun, but Buffy's actions were more frustrating in this one. I can see why she would quit the job with Kennedy, but why turn down a check for work she's already done and could get her back on her feet? She didn't turn down her coffee shop checks, presumably, and that had nothing to do with being the Slayer either. Silly false nobility.

The last story was sweet but Buffy showing up at the end like she'd been watching or narrating the whole time was kind of goofy.

I like the artwork and the occasional Whedonesque line of dialogue. I'll stick with them, at least for a little while more. ( )

I don't think I can list my favorite parts without some pretty serious spoilers, so let's just say Buffy learns some things about herself and her friends and we get a pretty great new character in the last issue. After a lackluster end to Season 8, I'm excited to see where Season 9 is going. ( )

This is the second time in a few issues that Buffy is handed a cushy cushion to land on, but she decides to decline all offers of personal comfort and recompense because they're all too easy. What's wrong with this woman? Getting all super-powery got you all twisted in your ethics?

For a soap opera, it's still pretty classic. ( )

Another Buffy comic. The first 3-part story, about Tincan, is good. I enjoyed the inter-dimensional chat service, and the return of Wolfram & Hart. Koh isn't doing it for me, however. The second 2-part story, about Billy the Vampire Slayer, slightly missed the mark for me. It felt a little too simplistic or trite, I guess. ( )
