Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a South African pastor who served as moderator of the Cape Dutch Reformed Synod for approximately thirty years. He was a vibrant preacher, a missionary statesman, a promoter of women's education, and a founder of many institutions. He is mainly known for his inspiring devotional works that are still avidly read by present-day Christians. Several of his works have been published as Pure God Classics.
