La cité des cendres (2008)

This story keeps getting more and more exciting. I like that there is a main story line, but also each character has their own issues/story. ( )

I'm really enjoying this series. It was good to see the characters developing a bit more - I really like Simon and Alec - and the characters are all really well drawn. Jace is turning out to be quite a complex character and it will be interesting to see where he goes from here. Also I love the villain!

Looking forward to seeing where this story goes next. ( )

Cassandra Clare is an author whos books I d0n't exactly enjoy but who I cannot seem to stop reading. Everything aobut her stories, characters, and writing style should appeal to me and yet something about it just doesn't work. I have tried them as physical books, e-books, and audios and they don't really hold my interest and still I soldier on hoping I will enjoy them... ( )

*sigh* where do I begin?

Well first of al I already bought the whole box set so I have to read every book in this series (don't know how I feel about that right now). I listened to this book on my way to school and regular train rides. A couple of times passengers would look at me funny, now I realize it was because I was rolling so hard with my eyes everything something "big" would happen in this book. Maybe I should have read these books sooner I think they are for a much younger audience than I am. The whole plot for this book was lacking and I didn't care for the main characters at all. The only ones I like were Simon and Alec (this could also have something to do with the casting in the tv show). The relationship that happened between Clary and Jace was just gross I couldn't relate a bit what they were going through. Overall I really hope I can get through these books soon, for the only reason that I can say I read them. ( )
