Mayor Hubble, the recently released from prison ex-mayor is at the school and tells the students he is running again. Later in the day, Andrea and AJ decide they want to run for school president. Mayor Hubble takes AJ’s side and tells him how he is going to get everyone to vote for him. Of course, Mayor Hubble is nothing but a con, and tells AJ to make promises that are senseless. Throughout the story, AJ and Andrea play sneaky games against each other to try and win. When election day comes, there is a pleasant surprise as AJ nor Andrea win 3rd grade class president because they are disqualified for their antics throughout the election. The winner is Mr. Wiggles, the ferret. This book is full of humor and easy read. This book series is very popular among my fifth-grade students. After reading the book, I believe that they like the stories because they are full of laughs and the books are an easy read. Good book to do AR progression for monthly scores. I also like this book for art. Some of the pages are full of humor and it would be good to read excerpts in art and have children depict the scene through their own drawing renditions. Summary: A.J and Andrea are running for class president. Mayor Hubble is going to teach them all about politics. Mayor Hubble chooses to lie instead of being an honest coach for A.J and Andrea. This really upset them and they were then disqualified for their actions. Personal Reaction: This is a good book to teach children that lying will never end in a good way. It is better to be fair and honest. Classroom Extension Idea: It would be fun to hold a class election. You could divide the room into groups and select leaders from each group to go against each other. This would teach the children about the election process. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Election day is right around the corner, and guess who's running for class president? A.J. and Andrea! Mayor Hubble is going to teach the kids all the ins and outs of politics, and every vote counts. Who's going to win? Who's going to lose? And who's going to kiss a baby? Ew, gross! Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
