It's about Marcin, a hamster shifter who is caught in hamster shape and shipped to a pet store. Hamilton stops by the pet shop and purchases Marcin, whom he names Marek. Hamilton is a little geeky, but thoughtful and talks to Marcin/Marek. Marcin grows a bit attached to Hamilton once he finds out he's gay and walks around the house naked in the mornings. Finally after a tiring day, Hamilton leaves the cage door open and Marcin is able to escape. The dialogue between the two as Marcin tells Hamilton he’s the hamster and Hamilton is disbelieving is quite entertaining. The ending is a cute HFN. I really enjoyed this short. The characters were very entertaining and the dialogue was clever. I’d recommend Caged to everyone and give this story 5 stars Absolutely brilliant! I am still laughing. This is one of the funniest and most creative stories I have read in a long time. And it's a sweet love story on top. What more can you ask for? I mean, the idea of a hamster shifter is funny enough, but to actually read about this guy's thoughts while he is in hamster form was hilarious. The story opening got me right there: "Marcin sat in the corner glaring at the two hamsters on the other side of the cage. If hamsters could kill with a glance, the little buggers would be dead. How in the hell could they run around on that stupid wheel all day? Didn't they know it only amused the people walking by? How freaking degrading." And it gets better from there. If you need to read something that is guaranteed to cheer you up, I can recommend this story - and it's free! Someone should pick this up and make a published series of short stories out of it - or something. Absolutely perfect! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
