The Secret of the Stone Frog: The backcover blurb says this book is in a magical world unlike any you’ve seen before," but I felt like I've seen or read about these worlds before in books like Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, The Wizard of Oz, etc. It is a great graphic novel for children who want to experience a graphic novel without superheroes or anime. (

The trick is to not think too hard about it. Just enjoy the story for what it is. At least that's what I decided. My brain goes into analyze mode and sometimes comes up with nothing. Then I am just left puzzled, wondering what deep message I somehow managed to miss.
I'm pretty sure it's just a Grimm style fairytale. (
