This is a collection of poems by different authors. Some poems are long and others are short. They are all humorous and are written with rhyme. The poems are about various topics like food, animals, and weather. In the back of the book, there are notes about each author. The authors range from dance teachers to librarians and personal trainers. I couldn't help but compare the poems with the author to see if there are clues to their lives in them. The dance teacher wrote "The Invitation." It made me wonder if her poem might have been inspired by the students in her dance class. ( ) I absolutely loved this book of poems. All of the poems are so cute and funny, they had me laughing out load. I would love to have a copy of this in my classroom to share with the students. The illustrations were bright and colorful. When the reader is reading these poems, they can envision a child wrote this and see it in your head. This book dares readers to be a little silly and use their imagination. This book is a collection of poems that make you laugh and use your imagination. When reading these poems you imagine a kid creating these poems and pictures in their head. Everything is so bright and detailed, from the poems to the illustrations. Everyone is written differently but they all rhyme. Some are short and some are long. They all have different rhyme patterns. Some use alliteration, while others use onomatopoeia. No matter which way the poem was written, I read it aloud. I would read these poems to any grade and have students compare them and find different literary elements. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
