Also loved the Travis McGhee connection. Did Slaughter do that on purpose??? ( ) Snatched 4.5 Stars A gripping page turner from the start. It is only a pity that it isn't a full length novel as one can never get enough of the incredible Will Trent and his huge heart. The investigation into a child abduction and possible human trafficking scenario at Atlanta Airport is eye-opening. The details on the airport itself and its procedures for dealing with this type of even are very interesting and I will never look at the airport in the same way again. In sum, a short yet wonderful snippet of Will's life as a GBI Agent, and I look forward to reading the next book ASAP. I usually hate novellas like this, but Karin Slaughter has actually written a tight compact story. Will Trent is being punished, working in Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport, when he gets a bad feeling about a father/daughter in the men's room. He follows them only to lose them both in a garage. When the young girl disappears, Will stops the man, but he feigns ignorance. Little-by-little Will and Amanda work the suspect, and much like a Criminal Minds episode, make a series of lucky guesses to thwart the kidnapping and solve the crime. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: A gripping, action-packed short story from a master of character, crime, and urgent suspense Will Trent, a dedicated agent with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for fifteen years, knows that there's definitely such a thing as a cop's intuition??which is why he should have listened to his own. While in a restroom at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Will overhears a girl's pleading, plaintive voice: "Please, I wanna go home." Something isn't right here, thinks Will. He feels it in his gut. But he waits too long to act, and now the girl and the anxious, angry man she's with have disappeared into the crowds at the busiest passenger airport in the world. After a desperate search, and with time running out, Will makes a call to his supervisor, Amanda Wagner. Will's partner, Faith Mitchell, immediately sends out an abducted child alert. The entire airport will soon be grinding to a halt??almost 100 million passengers a year; five runways; seven concourses; six million square feet of space sprawled across two counties, three cities, and five jurisdictions. All this is shut down on a dime because Will has a hunch that he is certain is true: a girl, maybe six or seven years old, has been snatched. And he intends to bring her back??no matter what it ta Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
