Friendship, family and values are always strong components in Linda Lael Miller’s novels and Big Sky Mountain is overflowing with them. To read my review in its entirety, please visit http://www.bookreviewsandmorebykathy.com/2012/08/03/big-sky-mountain/ I love this author. She is one of my favorites. I like that her books have a character focus but still bring back previous ones. I also love the western theme's that run through all of her novels. When I want a little love an country I always hear for one of her books. It's guaranteed not to disappoint. . Rescued animals, adopted children, horses, babies, lusty romantic cowboys and nice trucks. What else could you want ? This was a real nice story about a couple who need a second chance after many years of separation, other relationships, mistrusts and miscommunications. They struggle the ups and downs, deal with outside forces and try to find ground to stand on. It all starts with one sexy cowboy stoping his own wedding while his fiancé' is walking down the isle. Opps ! A great second book in the series with a Follow up on the pervious couple. I liked this one more than the first, much more angst. LOL aucune critique | ajouter une critique
With his rugged good looks, vast wealth, and family name, hell-raiser Hutch Carmody is still the golden boy of Parable, Montana. But he's done some growing up--making peace with his illegitimate half-brother and inheriting half of Whisper Creek Ranch, which should have been all his. These days, Hutch knows there are some things money can't buy: like the heart of loving, ladylike divorcee Kendra Shepherd. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

And often things were restated, like a summary at the end of a chapter. Too much.
Hutch Carmody has never got over his early love, Kendra. Kendra returns to the small town with a daughter, Madison, and argues with herself ad infinitum about returning Hutch's interest.
Hutch is described as having an easy charm. It's both a curse and a blessing depending on the prejudices and jealousies of the persons judging him. But his charm doesn't seem fake, or manipulative - at least not intentionally apart from using his gift to ease his passage through life.
I found it annoying how he seemed to be in the bad books for this, like our national pastime of cutting down tall poppies.
I didn't find the running out on the bride thing all that big a deal but it was a diverting start to the novel. ( )
