On March 25, 1931, three eighteen-year-old Southerners started their day not knowing that the events soon to transpire in Scottsboro, Alabama would have a direct impact on their young lives. The Scottsboro Boys events led the South on a slow, but inexorable, climb toward the Civil Rights movement and the abolishment of segregation.
