Ingeniosas y sorprendentes, estas historias rimadas fueron distinguidas por la Asociación de Bibliotecas Americanas y el propio autor realizó una adaptación para el musical Really Rosie de 1975, interpretado por Carole King. This is a fun counting book that allows young listeners to follow along up to 10 and then back down to 1 as the protagonist tries to live alone but is bothered by increasingly atypical animals with unusual tasks (e.g., a monkey delivering mail) invading his space. Despite its age, this book holds up pretty well and it could be useful for parents or teachers to share with toddlers/preschoolers to grasp the concepts of number and counting. This counting book, written in a melody, is a fun and exciting book for young children, grades K-1. As the reader is introduced to a new number (1-10), they are also introduced to a number of animals they are able to relate to. This book is a fun read for the classroom, and it will be sure to keep the attention of the students. "One was Johnny" is a great book to help children learn how to count. In the book they count up to number 10 and then they count backwards. This would a great book to get children involved because the kids would love to see what animal or thing decides to come into Johnny's house. The purpose of this book is to teach kids that it can be fun to count, and it gives them a great visual of what it looks like to keep adding things to a small place. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
