I've liked this authors's books in the past, but this one fell flat. Unbelievable thriller plot, characters who we are told fall in love (in 48 hours) but don't see on-page evidence, and a very thin setting. ( ) In Connor's romantic suspense novel, rancher Cade McClain finds himself staring down the barrel of Piper Lowry's gun. Armed and desperate, she's prepared to do anything to complete her mission, including dragging him into it. Attracted despite himself, Cade knows he can't just walk away from her and offers her a safe haven to hide from the gunmen on her trail. Strong as he is, it's not long and Cade knows he can't guarantee her safety even if his heart insists he has no choice. Fast-paced, well concocted story. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
