Set in the Old West, Chester is an outsider hired to burn a town down inflicted with a plague to make way for a railroad. When he gets to the town there are still people living in it. He gets to know the plague survivors and their story. I'm not a fan of this book because of the derogatory terms and phrases used in discussing different ethnicities. I understand this is a period piece, but the usage of the language could have been more tame with more significance put on the dramatic ending. My library had this catalogued Young Adult, but I question this and would recommend the story to adults. ( ) I was not a huge fan of this book. It felt like a lot of background information was omitted which made it hard to follow. Unfortunately, the art work wasn't sufficient to carry the story on its own. I felt like it had a lot of potential, but it ended before I had a real grasp on what the story was even about. However, anyone who likes gruesome westerns may enjoy this. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
