Beauty and the Beast is a timeless classic. This version is typical in that a young woman takes the place of her father at the manor house of a Beast. Over time the girl falls in love with the unsightly host. Unfortunately, just as the spell over the Beast is about to be broken the girl's father becomes ill and she begs to visit her ailing father. The Beast gives her the freedom to go but asks that she returns within three days. Beauty's jealous sisters change the hands on the clock and she returns a bit too late and finds the Beast dead. The girl weeps over the Beast and her tears work like magic and brings the Beast to life and break the spell. The palace is now filled with noblemen and women, the girl's family, and the handsome prince. Love has conquered all.
