The story is interesting. The characters are not very likeable. The language is useful to improve my English.

Not nearly as good as Jurassic Park, but still a good read. ( )

So Michael Crichton's come up with a sequel to the hugely succesful(book and movie) Jurassic Park. So more dinosaurs and even more violence to make for a fresh screenplay,right?
Yes and No. Of course the book's gotta be about dinosaurs. But for me, the best part about the book was the path Crichton steers the Original into - a complex and historically controversial topic - Evolution. How much do we really know about the Dinos? Have we taken too much guesswork for granted? Is replicating the natural environment and biology sufficient to compensate for anomalous social behavioural patterns of a confused new species?
Just a few of the questions Crichton raises. Unlike his recent Prey,State of Fear and Next, scientific basis seems to have been seamlessly assimilated into the the narrative structure - so much that it is what the reader(me!) remembers long after he has finished reading the book. ( )
