Special Agent Jack Miller is to mentor Special Agent Ross Fruen on his first big case. A man wearing a mask similar to a former Governor robs banks. On his last job, he kills a pregnant woman. There is not a lot of information to go on. As they work the case, both men are targeted by the Governor. Slowly they start closing in on him. It is when Jack's daughter relays some information from a tour their family takes that Jack realizes what the target is. Can the FBI get the Governor before he hits his target?

I enjoyed this book. I read it in one day. I liked Jack and Ross. Watching Jack treat Ross like a gopher gives the story a realistic feeling. There is a lot of action-adventure here as they track down the Governor. I look forward to the next book in the series. ( )

Pretty decent quick read. Nothing to write home about as far as depth, but a quick entertaining read. ( )

A fast-paced thriller that keeps you reading. A senior FBI agent Jack Miller mentor’s rookie agent Ross Fruen in understanding a series of bank robberies which have now culminated in the death of pregnant bank teller. The body count racks up as Jack and Ross search for the bank robber and try to guess his end goal. I enjoyed this very much and have added author Douglas Dorow to my list of “look for more”. ( )

Started off interesting then it seemed to drag on with senseless descriptions. Nothing seemed to really develop, but merely stretched on. Shallow and somewhat mundane. Couldn't bring myself to finish the book. ( )
