He’s a lovable character, humble and preoccupied with the present, he changes over time and can always teach life’s lessons and the way to follow, to those willing to listen.

The reader will learn a great deal about the different Asian and Indian cultures when reading this collection. Also the stories about the Mulla Nasruddin always have an important meaning in the end. Specifically in the opening tale of "The Price of Steam," the take away is to not take advantage of others, and always do trades or transaction fairly. Do not take advantage of someone else.

Mulla Nasruddin is a clever and sneaky character, respected by most, but also known for being quite mischievous. Read through his stories to see how he deals with his nosy neighbors, wins court cases, and negotiates with the emperor of his town.
