Let me make this clear--whenever I feel sick of vampire romances only two people convince me to keep going: Katie MacAlister and Molly Harper. Harper's wit and pop cultural laden stories crack me up, make me sigh and sometimes cry. ( ) In this cute return to Half Moon Hollow, Iris, friend of Jane Jameson, is a vampire assistant who takes care of personal tasks for the undead during the day. She comes across Cal after a murder attempt and winds up taking him home while he recuperates. I always enjoy Molly Harper’s blend of paranormal and humor. Cal and Iris have a cute romance as they work to figure out who’s behind the murder attempt and I enjoyed the family and friends relationships in this one, too. Go sisters! Please excuse typos/name misspellings. Entered on screen reader. Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow’s only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she’d like. Running all their daylight errands—from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled O neg—gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vampire life. Her rules are strict; relationships with vamps are strictly business, not friendship—and certainly not anything else. But then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and only Iris can help. Cal - who would be devastatingly sexy, if Iris allowed herself to think that way - offers Iris a hefty fee for hiding him at her place until he figures out who wants him permanently dead. Even though he’s imperious, unfriendly and doesn't seem to understand the difference between "employee" and "servant," Iris agrees, and finds herself breaking more and more of her own rules to help him - particularly those concerning nudity. Turns out what her quiet little life needed was some intrigue & romance—in the form of her very own stray vampire. ( aucune critique | ajouter une critique

"The thing to remember about a 'stray' vampire is that there is probably a good reason he is friendless, alone, and wounded. Approach with caution." Iris Scanlon, Half-Moon Hollow's only daytime vampire concierge, knows more about the undead than she'd like. Running their daylight errands-from letting in the plumber to picking up some chilled Faux Type O-gives her a look at the not-so-glamorous side of vamps. Her rules are strict; relationships are purely business, not friendship-and certainly not anything more. Then she finds her newest client, Cal, poisoned on his kitchen floor, and her quiet life turns upside down. Cal-who would be devastatingly sexy, if Iris thought vampires were sexy-offers Iris a hefty fee for hiding him at her place. And even though he's imperious, unfriendly, and doesn't seem to understand the difference between "employee" and "servant," she agrees. But as they search for who wants him permanently dead, Iris is breaking more and more of her own rules ... particularly those about nudity. Could it be that what she really needs is some intrigue and romance-and her very own stray vampire? Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
