When it turns out the perfect present for her friend's birthday has already been bought by a stuck-up acquaintance, Chloe decides that instead she's make a present for her friend. After much thought, she stays up most of the night before the party to make her present(s), and when disaster strikes with the other gift, Chloe's contribution saves the day. A nice little book about the value of home-made presents and of being a crafts maven, a skill that is often pooh-poohed in the STEM area. I like Chloe and her crafts, and I think more people should know her. Save money, go green, and make something unique that comes not from a store but from your heart! It's a win-win! And, in my opinion, this book gets across the message effectively, not preaching. It also gets across the message that little girls should not wear shoes with heels that go click-click. I absolutely adore the book and hope that lots of other ppl, adults and boys too, do also. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Chloe is very good at sewing and crafts and when her best friend's birthday approaches, she creates a fabulous gift but also saves the day for a classmate who had been unkind to her. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Is this the next Fancy Nancy? I'm not so sure, but I do really like the illustrations (by Heather Ross who did the cover for [b:What Happened on Fox Street|7883148|What Happened on Fox Street|Tricia Springstubb|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1306188439s/7883148.jpg|11091314]), and the phrase "Chicken Pops."
